General Terms and Conditions

§ 1 Reservation, registration and payment for our seminars

You have several options for reserving your place on a course of your choice:

  • via our online registration form under IRIS Academy (preferred);

  • by e-mail to info@cc-rail.com;

  • by cell phone at +41 79 522 47 13; or

  • by letter to our office address

Your reservation will be confirmed by a formal booking confirmation email. The booking includes participation, examination, seminar documents, a training certificate as well as the training rooms, conference equipment, drinks, coffee breaks and lunch during the event, but not the hotel room.

After receiving our official invoice, we ask you to pay the course fee by bank transfer within 30 days. Please ensure that payment has been made before the start of the course. If payment has not been received by the start of the course, proof of payment will be required. Alternatively, cash payment is also possible. All travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participant.

Rebates, discounts or other benefits based on individual special conditions only apply if the customer registers his employees at the same time and pays our invoice on time.

International Competence Centre Rail GmbH may take legal action to collect overdue payments no later than 30 days after the third reminder. With the commencement of legal dunning proceedings, the customer loses all claims to rebates, discounts or other benefits based on individual special conditions.

§2 Participation

Courses will be held if the minimum number of participants stated in the course description is reached. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to insufficient participants, illness or for organizational reasons up to 24 hours before the start of the course. In your own interest, we therefore ask you to inform us of your telephone number. In this case you will be informed in good time and the fees will be refunded or credited to another course. We are not obliged to offer an alternative date for a canceled course. We reserve the right to change a lecturer. This change does not lead to a cancellation or reduction of the course fee.

At the latest 30 days before the first day of the course, we will send our official invitation with the necessary seminar information to the e-mail address provided by the customer.

Participation is at your own risk. The International Competence Center Rail GmbH is not liable for damages such as injuries, theft or accidents resulting from participation in a course.

All training documents are subject to the copyright of International Competence Center Rail GmbH.

§ 3 Cancellation, withdrawal

After receiving our formal booking confirmation, the reservation of a course is binding for both parties. Participation can be transferred to another person at any time. Prior to receiving our official invitation, we will be happy to book you onto another course at no additional cost, subject to availability.

The registration deadline is shown at the top right of the registration pages (edoobox.com) for each course. The following applies to pre-events in a conference hotel: Cancellations before the registration deadline are free of charge. For cancellations after the registration deadline, we charge a cancellation fee of EUR 150 per booked seminar day and person based on the hotel cancellation fees for training rooms including conference technology and catering.

In principle, all training events, including online seminars, are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the seminar fee in the event of cancellation or withdrawal less than 30 days before the first day of the course and in the event of non-attendance at the course.

With your reservation you accept the above conditions.

§ 4 Place of jurisdiction

This course booking shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding any conflict of laws. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin.

§ 5 Severability clause and written form requirement

If any provision of this Agreement shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from this Agreement and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions. The Course Booking and these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter contained herein and may only be amended in writing and signed by both parties.
